Remembrance fixture/Armistice Day ceremony

04-Nov-2024 11:55:27 | Chesterfield FC

Saturday’s game against Accrington Stanley will be the club’s annual Remembrance fixture. At the game, serving personnel will parade, along with veterans involved with the Buddy Buddy and other Trust projects. Both teams will lay wreaths to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. There will be a collection at the match for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Next Monday (November 11), the annual Armistice Day ceremony will be held in the Chesterfield FC Memorial Garden. This will be an opportunity to remember the 20 players and officials from the club who gave their lives in the wars of the last century. The ceremony, which will be attended by players and club/Trust staff, is open to all and will take place at 1.30pm.
