“We know what we’re capable of”

Paul Cook spoke with the media ahead of the Spireites’ clash with Accrington Stanley. He began by reflecting on recent home form, saying: “I think it’s really simple; we need to score more goals and concede less. “You can complicate the game as much as you like, but the reality is that football is simple: score goals and don’t concede them. “Teams do defend when they’re here, but that’s okay. We have to find a way of combating that and adapting to that style. “I know we’ll get there; we have a strong squad for that reason. We know what we’re capable of.” Cook also provided an update on team news. He said: “I like to keep most things in-house. “We have a very strong squad, and we’re in a strong position going into the game. “I’m happy with the lads we have to pick from.
