Josh Campbell marked his 100th appearance for the Hibees - coming off the bench against Motherwell on Saturday 13 April at Fir Park.

Since making his debut in July 2019, the 23-year-old has gone on to reach the three-figure number, scoring 15 goals.

A member of the Hibernian FC Academy and lifelong Hibs fan, Josh told Hibs TV how much that milestone meant to him.

“Yeah it feels really special, I didn't think as a fan that I would ever have played 100 games for the Club I love. But it is a really nice milestone as I had family in the stands that day too.

“It makes the sacrifices and all the hard work behind the scenes that extra bit special.”

Josh had been sidelined for several months having suffered an ankle injury at the end of December, keeping him out of action until mid-April. Now, the versatile midfielder is back fit and ready to kick on between now and the end of the season.

“I’m just delighted to be out that gym, it’s torture when you're injured but my body feels good and I’m just hoping to get some more games under my belt before the end of the season.

“It’s frustrating being on the sidelines because you know when you're on the pitch you can help the team but when you're at home by yourself all you can do is shout at the telly. It can be an emotional and difficult time.

“The target between now and the end of the season for me personally is just to play as many games as possible and chip in with a few goals.

"As a team, we want to finish with as many points as possible - it is as simple as that."
