Hibs Women manager Grant Scott admitted his side put in a 'bad performance' on Wednesday evening.

The Hibees - after failing to hold onto their initial lead for more than a minute - fell to a poor 3-2 defeat at Petershill Park to sixth-place Partick Thistle.

"I think it’s pretty criminal from us," Scott told Hibs TV.

"The girls know - I don’t have to say anything. They know that they are at their most vulnerable (after scoring). We should defend the situation better.

"We’ve spoken recently about cheap goals we’ve given away and that was another one. We didn’t defend it, at any point, well at all. We are disappointed. We were OK in the first half without being terrific. It was probably 50-50 in terms for the half.

"We spoke about (the manner of the equaliser) at half time and it continued in to the second half, which is disappointing for us. I thought we were very reactive rather than thinking ahead and being proactive. We were passive. I can’t legislate for these things happening, it’s a difficult one to take."

On breaking the goal drought that had lasted the past three games, Scott had little interest in taking any positives away from the trip to Glasgow.

"To be honest, my overriding emotion is frustration again. We are turning in really, really good performances and then some really, really bad performances. Today was a bad performance. Partick could have scored more if I’m being totally honest.

"For me, that’s not enough for a Hibs player or a Hibs coach. We need to manage things a lot better than we did today. I will eventually take the positives. But right now it’s just frustrating and disappointing."
