Nick Montgomery reserved special praise for the Hibernian FC supporters that are travelling up to Dingwall this weekend.

The Hibees take on Ross County in their latest cinch Premiership fixture and Hibs fans are flocking up to the Global Energy Stadium, once again, in their numbers.

Throughout the course of the 2024/25 campaign, Montgomery has been full of praise for the Club’s travelling fans, and expressed how proud he is of them when speaking to Hibs TV.

“The away fans are superb and have been fantastic all season. I remember Dundee away in late November and they packed the end behind the goal.

“Everywhere we go they’re there supporting us in loud voice. It doesn’t surprise me to know there’s plenty travelling up, and we want to send them home happy.”

Hibs are taking on a Ross County side that are fighting for their lives towards the bottom of the cinch Premiership table. They currently occupy the Relegation Play-Off position, but are just one point behind St Johnstone.

“They’re a team that’s been fighting and scrapping for a number of weeks,” said Montgomery.

“You saw their result against Rangers and in their day they’re a good team. They have some strong players, so it’s important we give them respect, but we have to play the way we play.

“Disappointingly last time against them an incident at the end of the game cost us two points. We have to look at ourselves for that, but we also got an apology after, which doesn’t matter. We have to go back there tomorrow and take all three points.

“Preparation has been good. It was nice to get the result and performance last weekend and full focus has been on Ross County since.

“What’s really important is that we finish this season strongly, try to get as many points as possible, and carry momentum going into next season.”
