Wasted chances and defensive errors consigned Hibernian to defeat at Ross County, according to Jordan Obita.

The left-back, speaking to Hibs TV after the game, discussed the number of opportunities on goal missed by the Hibees in an incredibly frustrating afternoon for Nick Montgomery's side in Dingwall.

Myziane Maoloida had given Hibs the advantage in the first half, before goals from Simon Murray and Jordan White handed the hosts three points.

"We had plenty of chances, especially in the first half, to seal the game," Obita said.

"Unfortunately, we didn’t take our chances but that’s been something we haven’t done all season.

"In the first half we played around the back, we were switching sides and had a lot of space for our full-backs.

"The second half, we weren’t able to do that enough and they waited for their opportunities and took those chances."

Hibs now have three games remaining of the 2023/24 season, returning to action against Aberdeen on Sunday 12 May.

"We have to finish strongly," the 30 year-old said.

"After not finishing in the top six, it’s important to finish positively ahead of next season."
