Abbie Ferguson has been named the Scottish Women’s Premier League Player of the Month for August!
The 20-year-old picks up her first SWPL Player of the Month award following her stellar start to the 2024/25 campaign, scoring once and grabbing three assists in five league appearances.
The winger opened the scoring in our first league game of the season, expertly cutting inside from the right and finding the net with a powerful left-footed strike to put Hibs in front versus Partick Thistle at Lochburn Park.
Ferguson would then turn provider in the second half by tidily setting up fellow winger Tegan Bowie to double the Hibees’ lead, before two more assists followed in back-to-back home victories over Aberdeen and Dundee United.
To round out the month, the Scotland U19 international put in a excellent Player of the Match performance in our away draw with league holders Celtic.
Delighted to win the award for the first time, Ferguson said: “It’s my first time winning this award so it's definitely special.
"Over the last month I think it’s been the best I’ve played for Hibs, so to get recognition for it is really nice. I hope I can continue this form and help the team in any way I can throughout the season.”
