Hibs Women begin their colossal final ScottishPower Women's Premier League week run-in with a top of the table clash versus Glasgow City this weekend!

The Hibees, currently leading the league standings, host second-place City at Meadowbank Stadium on Sunday 11 May; with kick-off at 12:10pm.

Fixtures

  • Hibernian Women Vs. Glasgow City Women - Sun, May 11th 2025, 12:10

The Lowdown

Grant Scott's side are unbeaten in four matches heading into the visit of Glasgow City on Sunday afternoon - while losing just once in their last 21 league matches, overall.

A draw versus Celtic preceded recent wins over Rangers, Motherwell and Hearts, keeping Hibs top of the SWPL table with three matches of the 2024/25 campaign remaining.

Last Sunday's 3-1 Edinburgh Derby win over Hearts was secured by Kathleen McGovern's first-half double and Eilidh Adams' fine strike, the latter of which came after Lauren Wade had pulled one back for the hosts.

Hibs currently top the SWPL table, sitting three points above Sunday's opponents, Glasgow City, and five points above our final day opposition, Rangers, respectively.

The Visitors

Glasgow City, as mentioned above, are firmly in the title race following a strong post-split run of results - winning seven, drawing once and losing twice.

In that period, Leanne Ross' side have also confirmed their spot in the Scottish Cup Final, defeating Motherwell 4-0 in the Semi-Final at Hampden last month.

Hibs have defeated City in two of three meeting between the two this season. Despite losing the first encounter this campaign 3-0 at Petershill Park, the Hibees have bounced back to win the next two clashes.

The Hibees came out on top in a 3-1 victory at Meadowbank back in January, with Adams and McGovern both on the scoresheet - with the latter nabbing a brace.

The third match-up saw Kirsty Morrison's last-gasp winner in each side's first post-split of the season earn Hibs a crucial three points in the title race in Springburn.
