THE LOWDOWN

David Gray's men will be backed by a sell-out away attendance at East End Park; with over 4,000 Hibernian supporters making the trip to Fife.

We head into our first Scottish Gas Scottish Cup tie of the season unbeaten in five matches. Held to a draw by Dundee United before Christmas, we would go on to defeat Hearts, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock across the festive period.

Last time out, the lads fought back at Easter Road to share the points with Motherwell. Zimbabwean forward Tawanda Maswanhise opened the scoring in Leith, but Kieron Bowie was at hand to fire in the equaliser from close range.

A victory against Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday would see Hibs extend their longest unbeaten run across all competitions this season before returning to league action next weekend.

TEAM NEWS

David Gray will provide a full team news update when speaking to the press on Friday afternoon at HTC.

Josh Campbell, Nicky Cadden and Martin Boyle missed our William Hill Premiership meeting with Motherwell last weekend, and will all be assessed ahead of Saturday's tie.

THE HOSTS

Dunfermline Athletic are managed by former Hibs boss Neil Lennon and currently sit fifth in the William Hill Championship.

Due to back-to-back match postponements, the Pars have not played a competitive fixture in almost three weeks. Their last encounter occured on Saturday 27 December, when they defeated local rivals Raith Rovers at Stark's Park.

Our hosts booked their place in the Fourth Round with a 2-1 victory over third-tier Queen of the South - who have since knocked out Dunfermline in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

This will be the first time we have faced the Pars since April 2017, when the Hibees were managed by Neil Lennon and captained by David Gray.

The teams drew 1-1 at East End Park, with John McGinn on target for Hibs as we took a step closer to the Scottish Championship title.
