A top of the table clash awaits Hibernian Women this weekend, as we travel to Petershill Park for our first post-split fixture of the campaign.
Goal difference is all that separates second-place Hibs and league leaders Glasgow City heading into Sunday's televised clash; with kick-off at 2:10pm.
The Lowdown
Hibernian are the ScottishPower Women's Premier League's form side at the moment, with the girls on the longest unbeaten run in the division heading into this weekend's match.
The incredible streak has now stretched to 14 league matches - a remarkable run of results that started with an October victory over Montrose following a defeat on our last visit to Petershill Park in late September.
With no match last weekend, Grant Scott's side have had an extra week to prepare for City following their impressive win last time out versus Celtic.
Eilidh Adams hammered home a thumping header in the first-half to secure all three points at Meadowbank Stadium in a battling performance.
Keeper Erin Clachers' fine shot-stopping performance, which saw her seal her ninth clean sheet in 16 Hibs appearances, contributed greatly to the girls making it nine wins from nine in all competitions.
The Hibees rose to 54 points for the season so far following the home victory; remaining level on points at the top of the table heading into the split.
The Hosts
Glasgow City currently lead the SWPL on goal difference by holding a 23-goal advantage over the Hibees and have not tasted defeat since 26 January - a loss that came at the hands of Hibs in a strong contest at Meadowbank.
Kathleen McGovern and strike partner Adams both netted inside six minutes on the day. Brenna Lovera would pull one back for City on 22 minutes before McGovern clinched our victory on the cusp of half-time.
Since losing out in EH7, City have been in formidable form - winning four times and drawing once across all competitions.
Scottish Cup progressions over fellow Top Six outfits Celtic and Hearts - alongside handing out heavy defeats to Motherwell and Queen's Park in the league - sets up an exciting clash in Springburn this weekend.
The Hibees' last visit to Petershill Park culminated in our second of only two league losses this season back in September, with City walking out as comfortable 3-0 winners on the day.
