The Lowdown

This weekend’s game is our final match before the split and the Hibees come into it off the back of some red-hot form!

David Gray’s men have now gone on an impressive 16-match unbeaten run in the William Hill Premiership, which stretches all the way back until December 2024.

During that time, we have won 11 matches and drawn 5, with just one of those draws coming at Easter Road.

We are also unbeaten at our home stadium in our last nine matches in all competitions, we have drawn just two of those. Gray’s men have been making Easter Road a fortress, winning their last six consecutive games in Edinburgh.

We confirmed our top six place at the end of March beating St Johnstone 3-0 at Easter Road, and backed that up with a sensational 2-0 win against Rangers at Ibrox.

We still sit third in the William Hill Premiership, one point ahead of Aberdeen and three clear of Dundee United.

Team News

David Gray will speak to the media later today regarding team news ahead of Sunday’s fixture against Dundee.

However, it is unlikely that Joe Newell will feature again this season. The central midfielder had an injury setback last week and it’s likely he will need surgery.

Our Head Coach will also provide an update on Elie Youan, who has missed the last few weeks with a toe injury.

The Visitors

Dundee currently sit 11th in the William Hill Premiership table with 34 points from 32 games. They are just one point behind Kilmarnock and Ross County, as they look to get themselves out of danger.

Tony Docherty’s side have been in a decent vein of form of late only losing one of their last four fixtures. They’ll come into Sunday buoyed from their 2-0 victory over top-six chasing St Mirren, and they also beat Dundee United 4-2 in their last game on the road.

Away from Dens this season, Dundee have won four of their nine league outings.

Former Hibs man Simon Murray has been their talisman this season and is the highest scoring Scot in the William Hill Premiership. The 33-year-old has scored 15 goals during the 2024/25 campaign, one of those came against Hibs back in August.

The Dee are also one of two sides in the Scottish top-flight that Hibs haven’t beaten this season. We drew 2-2 at Easter Road at the beginning of the campaign, before being beaten 4-1 at Dens Park in November.
